Thanks Michael. There's so much to say about this that it's hard to get it all down in a post, so I appreciate your help! I especially love your ending - "evolution to more empowerment." Brilliantly put!

I totally agree with you here, I just think that sometimes having spiritual rules (for some people) allows them to get into a comfortable spot and "focus" to let that energy in.

I'm with you though, saying a mantra of following some mundane set of rules that I know are irrelevant makes no since to me.

Spiritual rules act as a Tool to activate our belief, when you realize that you don't need those Spiritual rules anymore and just focus on the belief then you've freed you mind to become much more effective than you where before. I've found this to be true in my own life, and through my own experiences.

Spiritual tools can still be effective for those who use them to aid their belief, but the danger is when they see another person using a different set of Spiritual rules; when this happens often they are confused and discredit the other person. This has been a source of social conflict since the beginning of civilization and has caused division within homes and countless wars.

However, the mentality that you and I share about these "Spiritual Rules" seem to be the same, or at least similar. Regardless, this new type of mentality, I believe is a sort of mental evolution from an old way of thinking, to a much much more empowering one. And that's just my humble view on the subject.
