About

I’m Dana, and I love to create the images you see all over this site! To me, they’re alive, and they make me feel good…

You can reach me at dana @ ninetomatoes.com with any comments, questions or requests.

All my images come from ink drawings I do on paper. I scan the drawings and play with them in Photoshop to create mandalas and designs. Then, I print them on lots of different things.

The feeling that comes from the drawing process is meditative, balanced, and freeing. I think anyone can relate to that! Drawing, for me, is a way of trusting my instincts to follow a line or a shape and go with it until it reveals its essence. From that I feel an amazing calm, like being grounded and connected to source at the same time. The digital process is equally fun, and has the same meditative quality – intense bliss, calm, knowing, freedom. Very nice!!

After creating so many of these images, I realized that the feeling I was having while creating them was transmitting to others as well. People always tell me how good they feel when they wear one of my shirts, or look at a mandala poster or wall-hanging. I love that!

    Hi Dana,
I just found you on Twitter while trolling around and still don’t know how to leave direct messages on there yet. I love your work and am now following you. I’m an airbrush illustrator (among other things like mosaics) and used to live near NJ in NY. Nice to meet you and look forward to following you.
